Michele Gonzalez, CMP, Senior Meetings Manager at Strategic Association Management (SAM), has been elected as President-Elect of the Meeting Professionals International Texas Hill Country Chapter (MPI THCC) for the 2025 board term.

Michele will take office January 1, 2025, and begin a three-year progressive term in which she will serve as the chapter’s President-Elect this coming year, followed by a year as the President and then Immediate Past President.  

Both an active volunteer and meetings professional with more than two decades of experience in association and industry-related roles, Michele has been a member of MPI since 2014. She has served on the MPI THCC board since 2020 and was awarded MPI THCC’s Planner of the Year and Committee of the Year (Education) in 2023. She earned her Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation in 2021, is Cvent-certified in event diagramming and virtual events, is MPI-certified in inclusive event strategies and is PCMA Leadership Institute-certified in pandemic meeting/event design and technical (AV) meeting and event design.
