Elaine Saw serves as a Program Coordinator at SAM, where she provides administrative support for a variety of partner programs and services. She joined SAM in 2024.

Elaine's first experience working with a nonprofit was at an art museum while obtaining her bachelor's degree in anthropology from California State University of Long Beach. Upon graduating, she honed her administrative skills working at Wells Fargo Securities and Bain & Company in New York City. After moving to Austin in 2015, she worked for RWE Clean Energy where she gained skills in event planning, project management, business development, and analysis. She also has a creative side and has worked as a freelancer in documentary film and produced voiceovers for clients.

Elaine enjoys helping people and is passionate about working with associations to help them drive their missions forward.

Partners: Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology (TCACC), Texas Osteopathic Medical Association (TOMA)

Outside of work, I love... traveling, running, eating, yoga, hiking, watching films/TV, reading, completing jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with loved ones.

My workplace superpower is... keep calm and carry on!

Assessments: Artisan (Predictive Index), ISTJ (Myers Briggs)

What inspires me about working with associations: I work with passionate people that help associations reach their goals.

Favorite SAM core value: Practice empathy. Everyone experiences challenges, and it's important to try and understand those with a different perspective.
